Due esperti di sicurezza hanno dimostrato una grave falle di sicurezza in Windows Vista. Se venisse confermato sarebbe un colpo duro se non letale a quel sistema che nessuno ama.

Se Bruce Schneier dice che il pericolo sarebbe serio è serio davvero.

Ubuntu è una filosofia ed esiste anceh il contrario: Microsoft vuole a tutti modi impedire che il terzo mondo impari troppo open-source:

Figurati un futuro terzo mondo che non paga per le licenze e sviluppa i programmi da sé.

Microsoft has added the random-number generator Dual_EC-DRBG to Windows Vista, as part of SP1. Yes, this is the same RNG that could have an NSA backdoor.
It’s not enabled by default, and my advice is to never enable it. Ever.
EDITED TO ADD (12/18): I should make this clear that the algorithm is available as a program call. It is not something that the user can enable or disable.
